Payment Information

Payments should be made to:

  • Checks made out to: Mundy Township Treasurer
  • Payments mailed to: 3478 Mundy Avenue, Swartz Creek, MI 48473 or the lock box address located on the envelope which is provided with your tax bill.  Do not mail sewer/water payments to the lockbox location.

Important Information Regarding Payments

  • Payments are currently accepted by cash, check or money order for taxes, sewer and water.  Separate checks must be submitted for tax and sewer/water.   Payments for these departments should not be added together.  For your benefit, please put your account information (Parcel ID# or account number) on the "memo" line of your check.
  • It is your responsibility as a property owner to inform us if you have not received a tax bill or sewer/water bill. Penalties will not be waived, if late payments are assessed, due to non-receipt of a bill.
  • A drop box is available on the front drive of the Township Offices, for your convenience. Please make cash payments during regular business hoursWe are not responsible for cash payments left in the drop box.
  • Beginning June 8, 2015 On Line Payments will be available through the On Line Payment page



Important Tax Deadlines and Information

2016 Due Dates

  • Summer Taxes are due at the Township from 7/1/16 through 9/14/16.  Postmarks are not accepted.  Beginning  9/15/16 unpaid taxes are due with added interest of 1% on total tax for September and 1% added the 1st of each month there after through 2/28/17.
  • Winter Taxes are due at the Township from 12/1/16 through 2/28/17.

Delinquent Taxes 
     As of March 1, 2017, Summer and Winter Personal, Qualified (Buildings on Leased Land) and Land Bank 5/50  taxes are due at the Township with 4% Penalty and Monthly interest of 1% on the total tax due.

     All delinquent Real Estate taxes are payable to Genesee County Treasurer. These amounts due will be based on their penalty schedule.
